IT IS HER ANNIVERSARY The anniversary of the tragic death of Mahsa Amini, a 22-year-old Iranian woman whose death in custody at the hands of the Morality Police sparked the Women, Life, Freedom movement last year, is approaching on 16 September 2023. Last year, the international community, the West in particular led by the United State, was largely remained passive spectators. Their behavior may be explained by an old Iranian saying that reads: "one does not wrap a head that does not ache". I would like it better to say, one does not warp a head until it aches. That seems to align more closely with the actions of the United States and its European allies in their current approach to dealing with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
