Drawing and Coloring a Pussy Cat to Sell it for a Dangerous Lion
Javad Zarif, the desperate Iran's Foreign Minister, has written an opinion piece for Foreign Policy begging president Biden administration to lift sanctions without even realising how vulnerable he depicted his Caliphate in Tehran
He did his best to draw and color a pussy cat and sell it to president Biden and his administration as a dangerous lion walking around the Middle East. A lion that roars and shows, every now and then, its fangs to the White House too.
He keeps, however, misrepresenting his Caliphate, Shiite Islamic State, by referring to him as Iran. He forgets that his Caliphate and his regime are not Iran. And that his Caliphate without a single vote from the people of Iran has no legitimacy within Iran and so does the government Mr Zarif purports to represent. It was only a year ago in 2019-2020 when and where millions of Iranians flooded streets of the Iranian cities demanding the demise of the Caliphate, the so-called Supreme Leader. The rest is public knowledge for the Caliphate sent his armed thugs to streets and massacred peaceful protesters by thousands, imprisoned and tortured thousands more. Yet we have this shameless Minister who dares to speak on behalf of the very people his Caliphate massacred and their occupied country.
What Mr Zarif tries desperately to depict as a dangerous lion of the Middle East is nothing more than a weak vulnerable pussy cat with his little group of organised-thugs only capable of shooting unarmed defenseless young Iranians on street. So, when he goes on to address President Biden and his new administration with his threatening tone:
"Iran has exhibited strategic restraint throughout this period. But Iranians are running out of patience, as legislation our parliament passed in December clearly indicates: the new law requires Iran to boost uranium enrichment and limit UN inspections if sanctions are not removed by February", he is referring to that pussy cat and his organised-thugs—not Iran and her people.
Weakness and vulnerability of the Caliphate was clearly displayed on his behaviour since 2018 when former President Trump abandoned the JCPOA. The Caliphate accentuated his fear and vulnerability, critically, during the last few months of former President Trump term in the office. He was extremely cautious and careful not to give former president Trump any excuse to respond militarily to the Caliphate’s mischiefs whether by his own Quds Force (the head of which general Soleymani was eliminated by former President Trump), or any of his proxy terrorists' organisations in Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, Afghanistan or Palestine. That is a telling. A telling about Mr Zarif's picture drawing and colouring of his pussy cat as a dangerous lion which begs a further and very valid question. Why?
Why is it that a dangerous lion that can turn the Middle East into an American's grave yard, as Mr Zarif desperately tried painting, was so extremely cautious and careful acting like a little pussy cat not to give any excuse to trigger a conflict with the US? Why is it that a dangerous lion prayed every night for former President Trump to leave office sooner than later? The answer is clear, Fear and vulnerability. A pussy cat on streets of the Iranian cities where millions of Iranians are after him with a magnitude much much worse than 2019-2020! Mr Zarif and his Caliphate would have desperately rushed to the table with former President Trump on his terms, had he won a second term. They only gambled and waited to see if they can have a better deal and position. Now, they think they have it and Mr Zarif tries childishly to bluff a way out for his beleaguered pussy cat drawn and colored as a dangerous lion.
President Biden should close his eyes and imagine the pussy cat being chased by millions of Iranians in streets. The only other consideration he and his administration may have is what is to follow in Iran then? Iranian people, in my view, are capable of retaking their country back and establishing instead a secular democracy as they deserve.
